Patna Crime News: PMCH Head Nurse Allegedly Killed in Danapur After Holi Dispute, Husband Detained

A shocking incident has surfaced from the Danapur police station area of Patna, where a domestic dispute over Holi celebrations allegedly turned fatal. A woman working as a head nurse at Patna Medical College and Hospital was reportedly beaten and strangled to death by her husband. The accused has been taken into police custody.
Dispute Over Visiting In-Laws Escalated
The incident took place on East Gola Road in Danapur. According to sources, a heated argument broke out late Friday night between the couple over whether to visit the in-laws’ home for Holi. The disagreement reportedly escalated into violence.
It is alleged that during the altercation, the husband physically assaulted his wife, leading to severe injuries.
Allegations of Strangulation
Family members and local residents claim that the accused not only assaulted the victim but also strangled her, resulting in her death. Shockingly, neighbors were unaware of the incident at the time it occurred.
The deceased has been identified as Chandni Kumari, who was serving as a head nurse at PMCH. She was residing in Danapur with her family. News of her death has left her family members and colleagues in deep shock.
Husband Informed Police
Reports indicate that after the incident, the accused husband, Sonu Singh, took their two-year-old son to his ancestral home in Chhapra. Later that night, he returned to Danapur and reportedly called Dial 112 to inform the police about the incident himself.
Police reached the spot immediately, detained the accused, and sent the body for post-mortem examination. The body was later handed over to the family.
Forensic Investigation Underway
Considering the seriousness of the case, a forensic team was called to the scene to collect evidence. Police are questioning nearby residents and investigating the case from all possible angles.
Danapur SHO Prashant Kumar Bhardwaj stated that prima facie the case appears to be linked to a domestic dispute. Legal action will proceed after receiving a written complaint from the victim’s family.

The incident has sparked anger among local residents, who described the tragic outcome of a family dispute as deeply disturbing. Police officials have assured that strict action will be taken based on the evidence and that the case will be thoroughly investigated.
