Samastipur News: Peace Committee Meeting Held at Singhia Police Station Ahead of Holi, Strict Ban on DJs and Obscene Songs

A peace committee meeting was organized at the Singhia Police Station premises in Samastipur district to ensure that the upcoming Holi festival is celebrated in a peaceful and harmonious manner. The meeting was jointly chaired by Station House Officer (SHO) Shyam Kumar Mehta, Block Development Officer (BDO) Vivek Ranjan, and Circle Officer Sarita Rani.
Strict Guidelines for Holi Celebrations
During the meeting, officials appealed to citizens to strictly follow government guidelines during Holi celebrations. Key directives included:
Complete ban on DJ systems during the festival.
Strict prohibition on playing obscene songs.
Advisory against the consumption of alcohol and other intoxicants.
Ensuring that no act hurts the sentiments of any community.
Maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood.
Authorities also warned against minors riding motorcycles, triple riding, and over-speeding. Legal action will be taken against violators.

The meeting was attended by Block Chief Birju Sahu, Vice President Arun Shekhar Kunwar, Ram Chandra Pradhan (Male), Ram Nandan Paswan (RJD), Santosh Singh, Partheshwar Singh, Chandan Kumar Singh, Md. Hasmulla, Shashibhushan Jha, Bhupan Paswan, Ram Chandra Paswan, along with police officials Ajay Kumar and Edison Kumar, among other respected members of the community.
Administration’s Warning
The administration clearly stated that strict action will be taken against anyone attempting to disturb law and order during the Holi festival.
Officials emphasized that cooperation from citizens is essential to ensure a safe, joyful, and peaceful celebration in the region.
