US–Israel Iran War Enters Third Day; Heavy Casualties Reported

The war between the United States, Israel, and Iran has entered its third day on Monday. The United States and Israel continue their airstrikes on Iran. Despite reports of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei being killed, Iran has continued launching missile attacks in retaliation.
According to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, at least 555 people have been killed in Iran so far due to the US-Israeli airstrikes. The organization stated that 131 cities have been targeted since the conflict began. Reports also indicate that Hezbollah has fired rockets amid the escalating tensions.
US President Donald Trump said that the number of military casualties could rise and warned that the war may continue for a longer period. Reports suggest that three American soldiers have been killed and five seriously injured. Iran has declared 40 days of national mourning and announced a seven-day public holiday.
President Trump claimed that 48 Iranian leaders were killed in the attacks and that several ships were destroyed. The United States and Israeli forces reportedly dropped more than 1,000 bombs over the past two days. Khamenei’s residential complex has reportedly been destroyed.
India Assures Safety of 3.5 Million Citizens in UAE
Amid rising tensions between Iran and Israel and growing instability due to US involvement, India’s Ambassador to the UAE, Dr. Sunjay Sudhir, addressed approximately 3.5 million Indian citizens living there, assuring them that the Government of India is giving top priority to their safety and welfare.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, while External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar discussed the situation with UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. India expressed gratitude for the swift measures taken by the UAE government to ensure the safety of the Indian community.
The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai are operating 24×7. Helplines have been activated, including a toll-free number (+971-800-90465342) and a WhatsApp number (+971-58090465342). With regional airspace closures affecting travel, the Indian government is working on evacuation plans for stranded citizens.
PM Modi Speaks with Jordan’s King
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also spoke with Abdullah II of Jordan. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he expressed deep concern over the evolving regional situation and reaffirmed India’s support for peace, security, and the well-being of the people of Jordan. He thanked the King for ensuring the safety of the Indian community during this difficult time.
Civil Aviation Ministry Monitoring Middle East Airspace
India’s Ministry of Civil Aviation stated that it is closely monitoring the situation in Middle Eastern airspace to provide relief to passengers. Due to the current situation, 357 scheduled flights were cancelled today.
Through the Passenger Assistance Control Room (PACR), the ministry is addressing passenger grievances on a priority basis. A total of 559 complaints have been resolved through coordination with airlines and stakeholders via AirSewa, social media platforms, and dedicated helplines.
