Woman Murdered in Barwani, Madhya Pradesh; Ex-Husband and Friend Arrested

In a shocking incident from Barwani district, police have arrested a woman’s former husband and his friend in connection with the murder of a 25-year-old woman in the Anjad police station area. According to officials, the crime was allegedly committed over suspicion regarding the woman’s character.
🕳 Decomposed Body Found in Well
Station House Officer R.R. Chauhan of Anjad Police Station said that on February 23, police received information about an unidentified woman’s body lying inside a large well located in a field owned by Suresh Yadav.
Police reached the spot and recovered the body, which was in a highly decomposed state, raising suspicion of murder. The deceased was later identified as 25-year-old Monica Koli.
📱 Call Records Helped Crack the Case
After identifying the victim, police examined her mobile phone records and call details. Based on suspicion, her former husband, Vishal alias Radhiya Kiraliya, was taken into custody. During interrogation, he allegedly confessed to the crime.
💔 Divorce Six Months Ago
According to police, Monica and Vishal had divorced around six months ago. However, they had recently re-established contact. Vishal reportedly suspected Monica’s character, which frequently led to disputes between them.
On the day of the incident, Vishal allegedly called Monica to meet him. During the meeting, an argument broke out, and in a fit of rage, he is said to have strangled her using her dupatta.
🏍 Body Dumped in Well with Friend’s Help
After committing the crime, Vishal reportedly called his friend Shankar Chauhan. The two allegedly placed the body on a motorcycle and dumped it into a well in a nearby field in an attempt to destroy evidence.
Police have arrested both accused and further investigation is underway.
