This scene from Anureet Watta’s film ‘Don’t Interrupt While We Dance’ sits at the core of the criticism of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Amendment Act 2026, which includes a section on offences against trans people stating that compelling children to outwardly present a transgender identity is a punishable offence.
