Bong Joon Ho reunites with Neon for first animated feature ‘Ally’, set for 2027 release

Oscar-winning filmmaker Bong Joon Ho is returning to familiar territory, teaming up once again with indie distributor Neon for his first animated feature, Ally.

The project marks Bong’s first collaboration with Neon since Parasite, the landmark film that won Best Picture at the Oscars and became a global box office success. Ally has been in development since 2019 and is expected to release theatrically in 2027.
