‘52 Blue’ trailer: Neha Dhupia plays a mother in her international film debut

The trailer of Neha Dhupia’s international film debut, 52 Blue was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday, April 15, 2026. Directed by acclaimed Egyptian filmmaker Ali El Arabi, the film also stars Adil Hussain and Shashidhar Yadav in pivotal roles.

As per a press release, the film follows a young Indian football enthusiast’s journey as a migrant worker to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The trailer gives a glimpse into the world of the film which has been shot extensively in Kochi. Ashish is shown to be growing up with a controlling father and he eventually finds the strength to break free with the support of his mother, played by Neha. His journey takes him across borders as he sets out to meet his idol, Lionel Messi, at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar 2022 – marking his first encounter with the larger world beyond his confined upbringing.
