‘Chand Mera Dil’: Ananya Panday and Lakshya’s romantic-drama delayed again, to release now in May

Ananya Panday and Lakshya’s upcoming romantic-drama Chand Mera Dil has been delayed again, owing possibly to the continuing run of Dhurandhar The Revenge at the box office. Chand Mera Dil, which was earlier set to be released on April 10, will now hit the screens on May 22, the makers announced on Monday, April 6, 2026. The film’s teaser will be unveiled on April 7.

The makers unveiled a new poster to make the announcement. It features Lakshya and Ananya holding each other in a tight embrace. A text on the poster read, “When love grows faster than life.”

The makers captioned the post as, “A story that breaks, heals and redefines the notion of being ‘paagal’ in love.”

Chand Mera Dil is directed by Vivek Soni, known for making films like Meenakshi Sundareshwar (2021) and Aap Jaisa Koi (2024). It it backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. More details from the romantic-drama are awaited.

It marks the first collaboration between Ananya and Lakshya, who made his feature film debut with the Dharma Production backed, Kill in 2024. He was last seen in Aryan Khan’s web-series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood.

Ananya made her feature film debut with Dharma Productions in 2019’s Student of the Year 2 and recently, her web series debut with Call Me Bae (2024) was backed by Dharmatic Entertainment, the digital arm of the banner.
